The Important of Job Analysis Information

Work description information on the company become important and more as human resources challenge. This is a challenge because without that information an organization will difficult or impossible to step forward on maximize accommodate their resources competence. This will useful and conducted exactly if using up-to-date information, complete and reliable. Using this reliable information can improve organization productivity and reach the company goal.

There is an opinion of having job description information become unimportant for small company, this is different in a big company who have a thousands employee. On big company, work unit that handle human resources will have positive contribution if there is a reliable human resources information system. This information system will useful to design a new work, new recruitment, compose training program for old employee and create a salary system.

Human resources management has at least 10 guidelines to conduct a good human resources management from that information:
  1. Job analysis can give a picture about work challenge which is pursuant to their work environment. For example if their work environment need computerize on their work, they must ready to update their knowledge for their contribution to their workplace.
  2. Elimination work condition that actually not needed. Such as discriminative action that limited to certain group of people or society.
  3. Job analysis should be able to find out a resistance to improve their work qualification on their organization.
  4. Planning their human resource for future, this is not quantities but more intent to qualitative improvement.
  5. Job analysis can be used for new recruitment that suitable for the vacancy available.
  6. Job analysis can use for training program to develop employee knowledge. Training program can design with two kind purposes, improving their existing knowledge and preparing for their new job.
  7. Compile a planning for work potential development. As a many people experience that there is a gap of effective ability with their own potential.
  8. Can use for define a realistic performance standard. Realistic standard become more suit than ideal standard.
  9. Job description information is important on right placement that will suitable with their knowledge, experience and skill.
  10. Job analysis information will important on defining the right salary grade and exactly.
